Abstract

Penelitian berjudul “Biodiversitas Teritip Intertidal di Beberapa Pantai Lampung” bertujuan untuk mengetahui biodiversitas teritip intertidal yang meliputi kekayaan spesies dan komposisi spesies teritip intertidal di beberapa pantai Lampung, perbedaan keanekaragaman spesies teritip intertidal yang ditemukan di Pantai Lampung, dan wilayah regional fauna teritip intertidal Pantai Lampung dalam regional fauna teritip Indonesia. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada bulan Oktober 2009 di: (1) Dermaga 4 Pelabuhan Ferry Bakauheni (5º87’34.55”LS 105º75’08.86”BT); (2) Pantai Kalianda Bawah (5º74’05.13” LS 105º58’99.43” BT); (3) Tambak Udang Teluk Suak Kalianda (5º64’75.9” LS 105º46’59.18” BT); (4) Teluk Suak Kalianda (5º65’70.71” LS 105º46’84.07” BT); (5) Inlet dan Outlet PLTU Pelabuhan Panjang Telukbetung (5º45’53.66” LS 105º30’80.64” BT); (6) Teluk Semaka Kota Agung (5º49’96.34” LS 104º61’99.97” BT). Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu survei dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive random sampling. Data teritip intertidal disajikan dalam bentuk presence dan absence untuk setiap lokasi sampling kemudian dikompilasi dengan data sekunder Prabowo tahun 2005. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan multivariate analysis menggunakan non-metric Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS). Pada penelitian ini diketahui 17 spesies mendiami beberapa pantai Lampung yang tersusun dalam 15 genera, 8 subfamilia, dan 6 familia, antara lain; Tetraclita squamosa, T. singaporensis, Amphibalanus amphitrite, A. reticulatus, Chthamalus malayensis, Caudoeuraphia caudata, Euraphia hembeli, Nesochthamalus intertextus, Octomeris brunea, Yamaguchiella coerulescens, Tetraclitella divisa, Astroclitta sp., Ibla cumingi, Capitulum mitella, Lepas anserifera, Newmanella radiata, dan Tesseropora wireni. Setiap pantai memperlihatkan perbedaan komposisi spesies teritip intertidal, diduga karena pengaruh pertukaran arus Samudera Pasifik menuju Hindia. Hasil analisis MDS memperlihatkan bahwa teritip intertidal Pantai Lampung termasuk dalam daerah transisi regional fauna teritip Indonesia Barat dan Timur.
 
A research entitled “Biodiversity of Intertidal Barnacles in Lampung Shores” aimed to examine the biodiversity of intertidal barnacle including species richness and species composition in Lampung shores, to the determine difference of species diversity in several Lampung shores, and to the determine the faunal region of Lampung within Indonesian barnacles fauna. Sampling was conducted in October 2009 in several shores covering: (1) Ferry Port Dermaga IV Bakauheni (5º87’34.55”LS 105º75’08.86”BT), (2) Kalianda Bawah Shore (5º74’05.13” LS 105º58’99.43” BT), (3) Artificial Shrimp Pond in Suak Bay Kalianda (5º64’75.9” LS 105º46’59.18” BT), (4) Suak Bay Shores, Kalianda (5º65’70.71” LS 105º46’84.07” BT), (5) Inlet and outlet of the seawater cooling system of an electric power plant at PLTU Panjang Telukbetung (5º45’53.66” LS 105º30’80.64” BT), and (6) Semaka Bay Shore, Kota Agung (5º49’96.34” LS 104º61’99.97” BT). This research was conducted as a survey and purposive random sampling was implemented to collect samples. Presence and absence data is presented for species occurrence in each sampling location and then compiled with Prabowo’s 2005 data to construct the barnacles’ faunal region. Distribution pattern were analyzed using non-metric Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS) based on species composition. Result suggest there were 17 species found in Lampung Shores comprising 15 genera, 8 subfamilies, and 6 families, including; Tetraclita squamosa, T. singaporensis, Amphibalanus amphitrite, A. Reticulatus, Chthamalus malayensis, Caudoeuraphia caudata, Euraphia hembeli, Nesochthamalus intertextus, Octomeris brunea, Yamaguchiella coerulescens, Tetraclitella divisa, Astroclitta sp., Ibla cumingi, Capitulum mitella, Lepas anserifera, Newmanella radiata, and Tesseropora wireni. Difference species composition was found among each shores, might be influenced and drove by sea surface currents exchange between Pacific and Indian Oceans. The result of MDS analysis shows that the intertidal barnacles of Lampung falls within transition zone between Western and Eastern Indonesia barnacles faunal region.
