Abstract

Sargassum merupakan rumput laut yang bernilai ekonomis tinggi, bersifatperenialatausetiapmusimbaratmaupuntimurdapatdijumpai di berbagaiperairan.Rumput laut Sargassum memiliki manfaat sebagaisumberpenghasilalginat yang digunakansebagaibahanpembuatcangkangkapsul, sabun, shampoodan cat rambut. Penggunaanalginatuntukindustrysemakinmeningkat, olehkarenaituperludilakukanbudidaya yang intensif di perairan yang cocokuntukpertumbuhan rumputlautS. duplicatum.Pertumbuhan dapat dipengaruhi bobot awal yang digunakan dansistem penanaman yang diterapkan. Penanaman rumput laut dapat dilakukan dengan sistem waring. Waring dapat dimodifikasi berbentuk rakit dan tabung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhanS. duplicatumyang ditanam menggunakansistem waringdenganbobot awalberbeda sehinggadapatdiketahuisistemwaring apadanbobotawalberapayangmenghasilkanpertumbuhan S. duplicatum paling tinggidi PantaiNusakambangan Timur Cilacap.
Penelitian menggunakan metodeeksperimental dengan RancanganAcak Kelompok (RAK) pola Faktorialdengantiga kali ulangan.Adapun Perlakuan-perlakuan yang dicobakan adalah Faktor A yaitusistem waringterdiri dari Waring Tabung(A1), WaringRakit(A2), sedangkan Faktor B yaitubobotawal rumput laut, yaitu 25gram(B1), 50gram(B2) dan 75gram(B3). Parameter yang diamati adalah bobot rumput laut S. duplicatum, sedangkan parameter pendukungyang diukurantara lain salinitas, suhu, derajat keasaman (pH), nitrat, fosfatserta kecerahan air. Data bobot rumput laut S. duplicatum yang diperoleh, dianalisis menggunakan adalah Uji F dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%, apabila hasilnya menunjukkan berbeda nyata maka dilanjutkan Uji BNT (Beda Nyata Terkecil) untuk mengetahui perbedaan antar perlakuan.
HasilpenelitianmenunjukkanbahwapenggunaanbobotawaldansystemwaringberpengaruhterhadappertumbuhanrumputlautS. duplicatumyang dibudidaya di PantaiNusakambanganTimurCilacappadaumur 7 hst, 14 hst, 21 hst, 28 hstdan 35 hst.Padaharike 35 hstperlakuanmenggunakansistemwaringrakitdenganbobot25 grammenghasilkanpertumbuhantertinggiyaitu 5.238 gram.hari-1.
 
Sargassum seaweed is valued economically high, are the West each season or a perenial nor East can be found in various waters. Seaweed Sargassum has its benefits as alginat-producing sources were used as material for making shell capsules, soaps, shampoos and hair dye. The use of industrial alginatin creasing, therefore it needs to be done in intensive aquaculture waters that are suitable for the growth of seaweed S. duplicatum. The growth can be affected by the initial weights are used and applied cultivation system. Seaweed cultivation can be done with the system waring. Waring can be modified in the shape of raft and tube. This research aims to know the growth of S. duplicatum planted using the system with different early waring so knowable system waring what initial weights and how that result in growth of S. duplicatum most high on the eastern coast of Nusakambangan Cilacap.
Research of experimental method using Random Design Group (RAK) Factorial pattern with three replicates. As for the treatment-treatment for customers is A Factor that is a system composed of Waring waring tubes (A1), (A2) Raft Waring, whereas Factor B which is the initial weights of seaweed, which is 25 grams (B1) and (B2) 50 g and 75 g (B3). The observed parameters is the weight of seaweed S. duplicatum, while supporting parameters measured, among others, salinity, temperature, the degree of acidity (pH), nitrate, phosphate and water brightness. Data weighting seaweed S. duplicatum obtained, analyzed using the F Test is the extent of confidence 95%, if the results show the real continued then Test different of BNT (the smallest Real Difference) to know the differences between the treatments.
The results showed that use of the weighting system preliminary and waring effect on the growth of seaweed S. duplicatum are cultivated on the Eastern coast of Nusakambangan Cilacap on 7 hst, 14 hst, 21 hst, 28 hst and 35 hst. On day 35 hst treatment using the raft waring system weighing 25 grams yields the highest growth is the gram 5.238. day-1.
